Every now and then, we’re blessed to have someone extraordinary enter our life. Today’s guest has been one of those people for me, and I’m so honored to introduce to you fitness expert and good friend, Jeff Rogers of Rogcity Fitness.
Through Jeff, I’ve learned that fitness CAN and SHOULD be FUN! I’m happy to say that I’m healthier and more fit than I have ever been in my life, and I owe much of that to his constant encouragement and inspiration. Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who has never exercised in her life, much less considered running. Today, I work out regularly and kicked off the New Year by running my very first 10K – in subzero weather, no less!
A lot of people, before they start working out, are afraid to because they think it’s a lot harder than it has to be.
In today’s video, Jeff shares with us the many advantages of running – especially for women – as well as some of the disadvantages that can result from ignoring these 6 simple but very important rules:
- Consult your physician BEFORE you begin.
- Know your body & understand your limits.
- Learn & maintain proper form.
- Invest in the proper attire – especially shoes.
- Be patient.
- HAVE FUN!
